These are letters to Jack, my son, and my daughter, Audrey. You have given me the gift of motherhood. This is just a little gift back. I want to share my experiences with you of your childhood from my perspective of watching you grow - of being your Mom.

Everything To Me

Jack,

The gesture that Daddy made here is one that would mean different things to different people. Daddy bought me new exercise shoes, clothes and weights. He knew I have been a little stressed lately and knows that exercise is a great stress reliever for me. This gesture was given in advance of Christmas by Daddy on purpose. Now, if this had been myself who had done such a thing, I think the reason would have to be because I couldn't wait to give the presents because I was too excited myself to see the other person's reaction. But your Daddy is a patient man, unlike your Mommy. He can wait when feels that is the right way to go.If this had been anyone else, I might think that they were trying to tell me something. Like - your attitude sucks, so take this stuff and get yourself in a better mood (or better shape).

But your Daddy doesn't say things like that to me. Even when I totally deserve to hear it.
No, Daddy did this for another reason. The message was simple and I heard it loud and clear.

You mean everything to me.Words can't describe....how full my heart feels right now. I love your Daddy so much, Sweetie.

This gesture - it just makes me feel so valued. So loved. So important.

It means....

Everything. This means everything.

This means EVERYTHING to me.

Love,

Mommy
