These are letters to Jack, my son, and my daughter, Audrey. You have given me the gift of motherhood. This is just a little gift back. I want to share my experiences with you of your childhood from my perspective of watching you grow - of being your Mom.

Twas the Day Before Christmas...

Jack,

Here we are on the day before Christmas and we all seem to be in a perpetual state of tired. Not just you.

We started the day off with your now I suspect to be regular routine of breakfast drive-through where you watch your morning cartoons from your now favorite perch of the new car you got for Christmas.

From there, we spent some more time with Matt and Lisa. You found the energy to play with the trains, but not for very long. You did get some nice quiet time here with Aunt Lisa before we had to head out and get you a quick nap.

You slept in the car on the way to visit Grandma "GG". GG is recovering from knee surgery and doing exceptionally well in my opinion.

The only sign I saw of her recovery was the wheelchair that she is currently in.

Aside from that her spirits are high and I think this surgery is going to work out very well for her.

You were enthralled with the cages of birds that they had in the recovery hospital that GG was in. You assigned roles to them declaring which ones were "Momma", "Dada" and "Babieeee!".

From there we headed home and now we are just counting down the minutes till Santa comes!

Love,

Mommy
