These are letters to Jack, my son, and my daughter, Audrey. You have given me the gift of motherhood. This is just a little gift back. I want to share my experiences with you of your childhood from my perspective of watching you grow - of being your Mom.

Binky Wars

Jack,

There is no question that your best friend in the entire world is Calum.

You crack up whenever you see him and he is your most frequent companion.

Although you are each other's playmates, you also serve as each other's arch rivals when it comes to binky's.

Both of you are obsessed with having your "pluggies".

Even if you have one and you notice that Calum also does or vice versa, the games begin with each of you grabbing the other's "plug" right from the mouth of the other child.

It's actually really funny to watch because you both are constantly surprised when it happens although everyone else can see it coming from a million miles away.

Usually the "game" ends when you use your natural advantage and get up and move out of range of Calum's fast hands.

Still, Binky Wars is adorable enough to stop me in my tracks whenever they start up. You both are so adorable! The good news is that both of you are still too young for the episodes to escalate so they result in nothing less than a trading of germs. :)

Germ warfare...who'd have thought at such a young age!

Love,

Mommy
